Doug has a degree in mathematics and over 20 years’ senior management experience in the retail and distribution industries. Before joining Ascentor in 2010, Doug started up and ran his own on-line retailing and software businesses. He also held non-executive director positions and undertook several mentoring roles for smaller companies in the manufacturing and software industries.
His hands-on experience of large corporate organisations combined with his work in both running and advising SMEs over many years is a major asset in assisting Ascentors’ clients to obtain the business benefits that the ISO standards were designed for. His keen awareness that the management system should support business growth underpins his pragmatic approach. Doug is specifically experienced in creating integrated management systems that meet the requirements of multiple standards.
Doug is a qualified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001. He mainly works with clients in the Darlington, Doncaster, Durham, Gateshead, Grimsby, Harrogate, Hartlepool, Hull, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland and York areas.
