Training

The most common failure mode for a management system is that one person understands it. When they leave, go on holiday or get promoted, the system stops working and the next surveillance audit goes badly.

Training is the cheapest fix for that. It is also a requirement in its own right: every one of these standards has clauses on competence and awareness, and auditors do check them.

We run three broad types of session.

Awareness training is short, for everyone affected by the system. It covers what the standard is for, what has changed in how people work, and what each person needs to do differently. It exists to stop the system being seen as a paperwork exercise imposed from above.

Internal auditor training is the substantial one. It equips your people to plan, conduct, record and follow up internal audits properly. Organisations that can audit themselves are noticeably better prepared at surveillance visits, and they save the cost of buying in every audit.

Role-specific training covers whatever the system owner or a particular department needs: document control, risk assessment, incident investigation, legal compliance monitoring, or preparing for an external audit.

Sessions are built around your own management system and your own documents. Generic courses teach people the standard. We would rather teach them your system, because that is the thing they have to use on Monday morning.
